THE FAVOR OF CUBAN CIGARS HAS CHANGED

My friends have mentioned that Cuban cigars are no longer the same type as cigars from around 2000, especially in conventional versions.

Cigars produced around 2000, especially the various models of 27 conventional Cuban brands, are not a concept compared to those currently produced in Cuba. It’s not means that the current Cuban cigars are not good, but everyone likes different flavors, which makes some cigar enthusiasts more eager to get aged cigars.

The reason for this situation is, on the one hand, after the establishment of Habanos in 1994, international capital was introduced. Habanos began international operations, conducted a fundamental reorganization of cigar production, thoroughly implemented process management for Cuban cigars, and cigar brands began to introduce the concept of a rolling cigar factory, each brand had the concept of producing its own brand of cigars in designated factories. At the same time, the preparation and formulation of raw tobacco leaves are more private.

On the other hand, in order to increase the yield of tobacco leaves, Cuban cigar factory has improved the seeds of tobacco leaves, resulting in changes in the quality of Cuban tobacco leaves. The improved tobacco leaves are more productive, have fewer pests and diseases, and have different flavors. The widespread cultivation of new Cuban tobacco leaves has iterated over previous tobacco varieties, resulting in changes in the production materials of cigars.

The tobacco leaves grown by former tobacco farmers are basically produced and supplied at designated locations, including which factory they will use, what cigar formula they will use, and what brand of cigars they will use to produce. Nowadays, almost all plantation tobacco leaves are uniformly purchased, processed, and distributed, using tobacco leaves with similar flavors as raw materials to produce cigars. In order to obtain higher benefits, Habanos has experienced an increasingly severe situation since 2012, which is the main reason for the change in the flavor of Cuban cigars.
